What is Natural Health?
Our body has an amazing ability to restore itself. Think of the last time you cut yourself. Within a short period of time your cut formed a scab and new flesh and skin began to grow. Even if it was a larger cut that needed stitches, your body eventually mended itself back together. Our bones "naturally" heal when they are broken, with a little help from your doctor to set them straight, they form new connections. When we've come down with the flu our immune system kicks in to fight it. It is our job to take our body's natural ability to heal and provide it what it needs to overcome it's current situation. If you have enough calcium and other vitamins and minerals, your bone healed quickly. If you were lacking in nutrients and basic building blocks that your body needed, it may have taken longer, and you may still be feeling the affects of that break. And, if you are not in optimal health when you came down with the flu, you may take longer to get over it.
It is our job to provide our bodies what it needs to deal with our illness. It may be a matter of proper nutrition, rest, etc. - or it may be a matter of stopping your exposure to some of the "toxins" that are hindering your healing processes. Ultimately, we need to learn what is going to help our current situation. You know better than anyone else, even your doctor, how well your body had been taken care of. Have you been feeding it properly? Have you been living a lifestyle that has exposed it to chemicals or disease?
Your first step to good health is to look at your current situation. Have you already been diagnosed with an illness? Check with your doctor to see if there are natural methods to treat your situation. I am priviledged to have a doctor who ran the blood tests I needed to see that I was deficient in several vitamins and minerals needed for my health. The doctor also ran tests to see if I had any heavy metals poisoning that may have been causing me problems. Even a disease with an "unknown" cause can be helped with proper nutrition and detoxification. The more building blocks (nutrients) you give your body to work with, the more quickly you will heal. In addition, the less toxins your body has to fight, the quicker it will be able to work on your illness.
Simply put, it is a matter of cutting out what you are doing that is hindering your healing and then adding in what your body needs to begin to heal on its own.

Blessings to your health and healing!

A new begining....
Becoming healthy, naturally, is what we are all about. Today is a day of new beginnings. Today is the day that you can start afresh in looking at your life, your health, your relationships, and where you’ve set your priorities. This is where I’m at too. I’m looking to see that even though I’ve been a “health food nut” for most of my married life, most of the time we’ve not practiced what we know and believe. As a result, I’ve ended up with some health issues that I need to deal with. I’ve fallen to the temptation to eat what is easily available at a moment’s notice, many times with the excuse that I’m saving money or that we can’t afford to eat all natural or all organic. Other times I’ve paid much more for highly processed convenience foods than I would have by purchasing the basic natural form of the food item. But, none of that addresses “natural health” – or does it? I have to say that the old saying “you are what you eat” is somewhat true. It is my belief that much of our health is based upon the fact that how we care for our body directly determines how healthy you may (or may not) be. Of course other factors such as heredity, accidents, exposure to toxins and other issues do come into play. Not all health problems can be solved simply by eating certain foods and getting some exercise. However, diet and exercise can make a huge positive impact on your health. Additionally, there are many helpful herbal supplements, vitamins, minerals and natural methods that can help get you back on the road to health.
Natural Health isn’t easily obtained. It will take some time, effort and a bit of research. It is hard to break old habits. Many times it more than a matter of having the right information, it is a matter of putting it into practice on a daily basis. It is a matter of motivation, of setting priorities, and of having determination and fortitude to get to your goals. The results are well worth the cost.
Choosing the natural methods when possible instead of taking the easy route of treating the symptoms, instead of working on the cause of the issue, is your choice. Most of America’s health problems are a result of poor lifestyle. We can choose to work on dealing with the cause of our poor health or we can choose to take a quick fix, many times with resulting negative side effects.
Make it your goal to begin to become healthy, naturally. If you give your body what it needs, it will become healthier. Our goal is to help you learn how to feed and nurture yourself so that you begin to gain back the health that you need to live your life to the fullest. We endeavor to give you the knowledge and tools you need to reach your goals.
